All School Popsicle Social (Fall)

Find out who your teacher is and enjoy a cold treat in our last days of summer! Teachers and Principal in attendance for a meet and greet with families and students along with parent supervised playtime on the playground.

First Day Reception (Fall)

Parents kick off the school year with coffee and treats in the cafeteria.

Back-to-School BBQ (Fall)

Our back to school BBQ is a fun chance to eat and greet and get back on your feet school-wise. We are always looking for a team of parents willing and able to help with all aspects. Come on down, rain or shine.

Curriculum Night (Fall)

Our version of an Open House. Come and meet your student’s teachers and learn about your child’s curriculum.

PTA Auction (Spring)

Historically our biggest fundraiser of the year, the auction is a fantastic way to raise funds for our school and meet and socialize with other Alki parents and supporters.

Volunteers needed: Procurement support, marketing, raffle coordinator, decorating for event, day-of set up, check-in & close-out, clean up.

Reflections (Fall)

Reflections is a nationwide PTA-sponsored arts recognition and achievement program. In the fall each year, a new theme is introduced; around which students submit art in various genres. Their work is displayed and judged at the school and in the community and finalists can goon to both the city and state competitions.

Arts Ed Performance Nights (Spring)

Come hear 4th and 5th graders show off the skills they learn throughout the year in Alki’s instrumental music program.

Arts Showcase (Spring)

Art and wonderful student performances celebrate all that our students have worked so hard on throughout the year in Alki’s multi-arts class with Mrs. Dilley.

Staff Appreciation Week (Spring)

Help us show Alki’s stellar staff how much we appreciate the work they do all year long with daily events and treats on this week planned just for them!

Volunteers needed: Planning, set up each day, organizing student appreciation efforts.

Alki-A-Thon (Spring)

Build school spirit, promote healthy habits and raise funds for PTA!  Students can collect pledges towards their laps walked, ran or skipped around the Alki play field.  Exercise, music, oranges and a souvenir event t-shirt highlight the day.  This family favorite takes place in June, rain or shine! Families are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Spring BBQ (Spring)

Our annual Spring BBQ is a family celebration to wrap up the end of the school year. Alki PTA supplies chicken and beef hot dogs, buns and condiments while Alki families supply the rest! Fall incoming families are also welcome to attend.
