Due to SPS COVID-19 precautions we are currently unable to participate in the West Seattle Food Bank’s Back Pack program. We hope to resume once precautions have lessened/lifted.

Alki Community Giving

West Seattle Food Bank Partnership

In December 2016, we began supporting the West Seattle Food Bank’s Back Pack program. This program grows nearly every month, and is now supporting nearly 400 students in our community. The Back Pack program sends food home with kids for the weekend. We currently aren’t utilizing the program at Alki, but are looking into using it for any Alki children who qualify.

Each week, we will be asking a different grade to participate. Room parents will be notified and will reach out to parents when it is their week to participate.

The donation food bin will be in our school all year round for collection. 

We have seen this program work at other schools in the area with great success. Thank you in advance for your participation!
